We are really pleased Callum has committed to us for the new season. He is a great lad with so much potential. He broke his way into the 1st team last season, having returned to us after a period away gaining valuable experience at Step 5. Callum came through our Academy education programme, progressing through the u18s and u21s. He can play anywhere down the left side and we see him as the long term successor to Luke Rowe.
As we saw on numerous occasions last season (the free kick against Wellingborough), Callums left foot is like a rocket. He ticks all the boxes being a young, local, hungry footballer and we’re excited to see him in a greenbacks shirt again next season.
Joint 1st team manager Andy Penny added. “Callum was brilliant for us towards the end of last season and we see him as serious contender for a first team shirt this season. He works hard, always takes on board information and has real quality in the final third!
