U9 Mavericks has a visit from Liam O’Brien

Bedworth Utd Mavericks u9s were surprised at training on Thursday night by Bedworth Utd number 1 and ex Coventry City shot stopper Liam O’Brien, who visited the training session to say hello to the team who have sponsored him this season, and to also have his picture taken with the squad.

The Mavericks are in their second full season together and are going from strength to strength having formed an amazing bond within the squad. The team are coached by Carl, Steve and Kenny, who like all Bedworth Utd Junior coaches, are volunteer coaches, who give up their own time to coach the kids every week.

‘It’s great to see the kids training with a smile on their faces’ commented Liam, who has been in outstanding form for the Greenbacks since joining from Stratford Town earlier in the season. Liam continued, ‘Training at a facility like this at Bedworth Utd, with the 3G pitch and the stadium, along with committed, enthusiastic coaches, is what it’s all about at this age’.

Liam will be commencing his own Goalkeeper specific coaching sessions on Thursday nights at the Bedworth Oval Stadium 5pm-6pm. Places are limited, so you need to be quick. To book a place, please email Liam on; liamobrien301191@gmail.com
