U15 Lions reverse result a year on to lift trophy

This time last year Bedworth United Lions left Mount Nod tournament runners up after losing the final in extra time to Alvis Juniors.

A year on and both teams managed to meet again in the final of the exact same tournament!  This time Bedworth came out on top!

Having narrowly beaten an extremely strong Alvis team in the group stages 1-0 courtesy of a John Patten penalty the final was bound to be a hotly contested event. Bedworth edged it in normal time after Kyle Rogers beat his man and coolly slotted home past the helpless Alvis Keeper.
All of the boys played brilliantly however a special mention has to go to Goalkeeper Harrison Martin who kept Bedworth in the driving seat with a fine 1v1 save midway through the game.

A thoroughly enjoyable event well organised as usual by all of the Mount Nod team. Unfortunately injuries were picked up along the way with John Patten (Soft tissue), John Roe (Knee Dislocation) , Charlie Horne (Soft tissue) and Jake Hoffman’s younger brother (Fractured Wrist) all visiting A&E courtesy of 2x pitch side ambulances. All of us wish the lads a speedy recovery.
