Bedworth hosted Chasetown on the bank holiday Monday in a fixture that would complete the set of last seasons beaten play off sides having already played Stamford and Halesowen.
With Bedworth looking for their first points of the season the Greenbacks were dealt an early blow when with less than 10 minutes played Elliot Parrott went down holding his hamstring and had to be replaced by Max Dixon. The first half was an extremely cagey affair with neither side really getting on top. The only real incidents of note were a good save from Lomax with his feet when Kirton went through 1 on 1 with him and the ongoing battle between Curvin Ellis and Ryan Wynter with honours probably even in that contest as well.

The second half opened up a little bit more and both sides created a little bit more with Curtis Pond in the Chasetown goal probably being the busier of the 2 keepers making saves from Liam Lockett and Eesa Sawyers. Chasetown had a few half chances but nothing really to write home about. Ryan Moore done particularly well against Jack Edwards out on the Chasetown right preventing numerous crosses and not allowing the Chasetown number 7 any space or time. The final whistle arrived and the Greenbacks first points of the season were secured. Hopefully with 8 days now till the next game it will give Sarah the opportunity to get some of the injured players back on the pitch.
