Next Stop……… The Final

What an end to the Bank Holliday weekend!

Bedworth United Reserves beat Worcester City Reserves 2-1 and head to the final of the 22/23 Challenge Trophy.

Assistant Manager Robbie Brannan had this to say, “So proud of the Reserves today who bounced back brilliantly from just two days ago against Chasetown to put in a dominant display against Worcester City to reach the league cup final. Special mention to Logan Elliot with three outstanding saves to keep the game at 2-1”.

Goalscorers Liam Murphy and Lewis Allton had this to say……

“The lads did amazingly well to come back from a bad start. Going down early wasn’t ideal but the boys fought back to get back level and then take the lead by half-time. Some amazing saves from Logan helped us see the game out. Proud of the boys, on to the final now” – Lewis.

“The boys played very well collectively and it was a great game to play in, we deserved to win. Logan kept us in it with a couple of great saves” – Murph.

The second semi-final of the Challenge Trophy was between Leamington u23 and Chasetown, with Leamington coming out on top with a 2-1 win.

The date and location of the final is yet to be confirmed, but the main thing is……… WE ARE IN IT!!!!
