LIFE MEMBER – Terry Steptoe

Yesterday we presented Mr Terry Steptoe with the honour of becoming a Club Life Member as recognition for his Services to our Football Club.

A long-standing Supporter who attends near daily helping to keep the Stadium clean and tidy as well as assisting our Groundsman Ron Lissaman. Most of you will see Terry every Home Match at the Turnstiles but may not be aware he undertakes the same role for Reserves, Youth and Youth Development Matches whatever the Weather burning up in the Sun, drowning in the Rain or freezing in the cold. In addition he has an inbuilt ‘radar system’ in tracking down lost Balls which saves the Club hundreds of Pounds per Year. Whatever the Club is undertaking he is there to support.

A Club Man through and through but as important a true Gentleman.

Football Clubs at our level could not function without such people who gladly give their time freely.

Over the Years I am sure you will recall other valued Life Members many of whom have sadly passed to the Greenback Heaven in the Sky. He joins current Life Members Peter Randle, Bill Haywood, Eric Whitehead, Colin Palmer, John Castle, Gordon Edgington and Brian Parsons in receiving this accolade.
