The Poachers were beaten 3-0 at home by Belper Town, following a 0-0 draw away at Coventry United. Their previous league results have produced a mixture of wins, draws and defeats, leaving them with eight points from their opening six league matches according to the latest available table.

Bedworth’s current form has moved us into the upper reaches of the division. After six league matches, we have collected 12 points, while Boston had eight, although the league positions and totals can change quickly at this early stage of the season.

Previous meetings

Although Tomorrow will be Boston Town’s first-ever visit to Bedworth United, the clubs have met twice previously in the FA Trophy.

The first meeting came in November 1978, when Boston recorded a 3-0 victory at Tattershall Road. Five years later, in October 1983, Bedworth returned the favour with a 3-0 win in the same competition. Tomorrow therefore represents the first league meeting between the two clubs and a new chapter in our history.

The key battle

Bedworth will be hoping our defensive solidity can once again provide the platform for three points. We have conceded just four goals in their opening six league matches, while Tuesday’s clean sheet at Basford continued a run of positive defensive performances.

Boston, meanwhile, will be keen to respond after being held scoreless against Coventry United and then suffering the home defeat to Belper. The visitors will know that an early goal could change the complexion of what promises to be a competitive encounter.

With Bedworth unbeaten in their last three and Boston looking to get back to winning ways, Tomorrows contest at The Oval should provide an intriguing battle between two sides aiming to establish themselves near the top end of the Midlands Division.

With Bedworth back in front of their home supporters for the first time in three weeks, there is plenty to look forward to as the Greenbacks look to build on Tuesday’s excellent result and continue with our positive run of form.

Kick-off: 3:00pm
Venue: The Oval, Bedworth
Competition: Northern Premier League – Midlands Division

Match Preview: Bedworth United v Boston Town Tomorrows fixture will be a welcome return to home surroundings for the Greenbacks, we have not played at The Oval since Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August, with an impressive 2-0 victory over…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[17,104

post-12926","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-club-news","category-mens-news
<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.7 -
