Hannah Murphy joins the coaching team as our new Head of Sports Therapy.
After a short, but productive recruitment drive to add a group of support students to our coaching set up to support the initial injury and rehabilitation for our players, we are pleased to have confirmed a Head of Sports Therapy. Hannah, who has recently completed her university degree with a first class honours and is a personal trainer, alongside her new business venture Integrated Sports Therapy is very excited to get started.
Having said “I have a keen interest in the complexity of injury & pain and how unique we all are when it comes to rehabilitation”, our coaching team knew she was the right fit to fulfil an important role to ensure the safety and recovery of our players in the best way. Hannah also stated that she “will be ensuring the players are taking care of themselves both on and off the pitch to aid performance and function as much as possible” and this is a vital addition to our new initiatives at Bedworth United, to compete in The FA Women’s National League. The addition of Hannah will allow players to return confidently from injury, but also look to improve their game to prevent injury as well as their nutrition and lifestyle.
As part of this recruitment, we are pleased to confirm there will also be two placement students who will be mentored by Hannah to support the squad, a strength and conditioning student and a physio for match day support. More information will be available in due course on these students.
When recruited, Paddy Richards said “on behalf of Bedworth United Ladies, I would like to welcome Hannah to the Greenbacks family. Hannah will play a key part in the upcoming season, not only helping our injured players get back onto the pitch but to also pass on her knowledge and support to the students who she is mentoring”. The whole coaching team are looking forward to working alongside Hannah and they are excited for the future of our club.
