Dawson sadly departs

Bedworth United woud like to wish Ishmael Dawson all the best in his future endeavours.  Ish has been with us a couple of seasons now and has always excited supporters with his pace and style of play,  Sadly for us Ish is emigrating to Australia to further his teaching career but will be around for pre-season to keep his fitness up.  We would like to thank Ish for his loyalty to us over the seasons that he has been with us.  Ish always made sure he made time for supporters and will be missed by many of when does eventually emigrate.

Stuart Storer said “Ish has been great to have around the squad and has always been there when we have needed him. His attitude and application have always been spot on and I wish him the best in his new life down under and should he return we would love to see him around The OVAL”

Speaking to Ish he said “I have really enjoyed my time at Bedworth, but life sometimes gives you opportunities that you cant turn down.  I would have loved to return for another season but events outside of football have led me on a path to Australia. I will look back fondly on my time as a Greenback and I will make sure any opportunity I get I will come for a visit.  I will be one of the furthest afield Bedworth United supporters over the coming season and will be checking results every Saturday to see how the lads are getting on.  I would like to thank everyone associated with the club who has made me feel so welcome and feel at home at The OVAL and wish you all good luck for the future.”
