Bedworth United v Stamford

Bedworth host Stamford after a weekend off last week.  In the reverse fixture back in September Stamford ran out 4-1 winners after a goal less first half with the only highlight for Greenbacks fans a late Liam Lockett consolation goal.

Stamford have been riding high and have been in and around the playoff places for most of the season and will be buoyed by their 4-0 away victory against fellow play off hopefuls Chasetown last weekend.  That result sees the Daniels move to 60 points 7 above the 6th place team so their hopes for the playoffs are firmly in their hands.

Bedworth since the loss to Belper which halted their 10 game unbeaten run The Greenbacks have failed to win and will be glad to see the back of February.  Currently sitting 11th on 42 points their is no chance of being dragged into the relegation places and being 17 points off the play offs its unlikely unless their is a massive turnaround. This though will allow Stuart Storer and his management team the chance to build for next season and look at some of the younger players around The OVAL and see if they can make the step up.

Jack Duffy leads the scoring charts for Stamford on 12 league goals with a number of players on 8 and 9 looking to chase him down.

Bedworth currently have a 4 way tie for top scorer with Ryan Nesbitt, Rich Blythe, Elliott Parrott and Eesa Sawyers all on 6
