Bedworth United v Harborough Town (FA Trophy) Preview

Bedworth United face Harborough Town Tomorrow night after the cancellation of fixtures on Saturday due to the sad news about Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II.

Harborough Town were promoted last season to step 4 and have had a pretty good start to life in the Northern Premier Midlands Division. Having started their campaign with 2 losses to Halesowen and Stamford both by 3 goals to 1.  They then beat Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Bottesford Town in the FA Cup. Since then they have gone on to a run of 3 wins against Yaxley, Shepshed and Daventry. A run of results that sees them currently sitting 9th in league.

Bedworth have not been so fortunate with a poor run of results and injuries leaving them sitting 19th in the league with only a solitary point to their name to show from their first 5 games.

Speaking to Jamie Lenton he stated “With our injury list as it currently is we are looking towards the youth we have around the club to level the ship for us.  Apart from the poor performance at Sutton Coldfield last Tuesday some of our performances have warranted a much better return than we have, but football unfortunately isn’t about how well you play but results on the board.  With regards that Sutton performance hard work and spirit is the least we expect and we wont accept performances like that hence why new players will be coming in over the the next few weeks to increase competition within the squad.  It will be a nice break from league action on Tuesday night and if we play with the potential the squad has we will be able to get a result. Unfortunately because of the sad events of the last couple of days this game has had to be delayed which has impacted on our preparation but as always I believe that the team we put out should be good enough to ensure a result”
