Bedworth host 4th placed Corby Town this Saturday. Bedworth come into the game on the back of 2 wins without conceding and will be looking to make it 3 in a row. After the early season jitters that we seem to always suffer from the ship has been settled and we can now look upwards as we make that push up the league.
Corby have had a good start to the season and were unbeaten in the league until last Saturday where they lost 2-0 at Home to Loughborough Dynamo who they also played the week before Away in the FA Trophy where they lost 3-1. From their 8 league game so far they have a record of 3 wins 4 draws and the 1 loss giving them a total of 15 points out of a possible 24.
Stuart Storer commented today “We know that Corby will come here well organised and be a strong physical side but with the new signings available and the confidence and belief that is growing amongst the squad after the last 2 games I am sure we will be able to push on now and get results against some of the so called better sides in this league. I was delighted that Curvin got his goal on Tuesday and that will give him confidence to push on and hopefully find the net for us regularly. The work rate amongst the rest of the team was superb on Tuesday night and that is what I want from the players in the next few games. There is now a lot of competition for places in the starting 11 with not only the new signings but also some of the young players that have been blooded over the last few games pushing for every shirt. There are a few more new faces that I am currently looking at and in discussion with that will only benefit the squad going forward”
