Bedworth travel to Chasetown for the first game of 2022 looking to continue their good run of form which has seen them rise to 8th place in the Northern Premier League – Midlands division. The Greenbacks currently sit top of the tree in the form guide from the last 6 games gaining 14 points from a possible 18.
Bedworth are unbeaten since the middle of November and will be looking to build on that as they visit high flying Chasetown who are currently sitting in 4th place 11 points in front of the Greenbacks. December though has seen Chasetown win 2 draw 1 and lose 2 gaining 7 points from a possible 15. Chasetowns last 3 games has seen them lose to 2-1 away to Shepshed Dynamo, a comprehensive 5-0 victory at home to Daventry and then most recently a 2-1 loss to Sporting Khalsa. Chasetowns home form has been good and has seen them on a run of 7 games unbeaten at home with their last home defeat being a 4-1 loss to Halesowen way back at the start of September in that run they have won 4 and drew 3 sharing the points with Soham, Carlton and Spalding.
Chasetown have been quiet prolific in front of goal having only failed to score in one league game all season and averaging over 2 goals per game with Jack Langston and Joey Butlin contributing 29 or those. Bedworth have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 3 games against Carlton, Corby and Coleshill and will be looking to continue that trend at the start of 2022.
All the officials, staff and volunteers at Bedworth United would like to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year
