Bedworth travel the short distance to face Barwell in the Emirates FA Cup. Barwell have not played in the FA Cup so far having only entered at this stage. Bedworth having entered the round earlier have Dan Crane to thank for their progress after his 3 saves in the penalty shoot out against Racing Club Warwick.
Barwell started their league campaign last Saturday with a 2-1 loss at home to Lowestoft Town, a game in which all 3 goals were scored from the penalty spot with Barwell scoring first then Lowestoft equalising and then eventually winning the game.
Bedworth visited Kirkby Road in pre season and ran out 2-1 winners with Truslove and Dawson on the score sheet for the Greenbacks. Bedworth will be wanting to replicate that on Tuesday night so that they are in the hat for the draw on
Bedworth will be travelling with a full squad to Barwell, Liam Truslove will be available as his suspension for his red on Saturday wont start until the away game at Wantage.
Speaking to Stu Storer he said “Barwell will be a difficult opponent, as have all of Guy Hadlands teams in the past they will be well organised and well prepared for this match. Even though we drew on Saturday the lads will be on a high after gaining a point with 10 men and I hope they can carry that high on into this game. Being a cup game league positions and previous games don’t come into the equation its a one off game and it is all about who performs on the night. The FA Cup holds some good and bad memories for me as both a manager and a player and I am confident with the squad of players we have that this year we may be able to add another season onto the list of positive FA Cup memories. The pre season result will have no baring on tomorrows game as both squads have been added to since then but I am confident that with Jamie’s, Andy’s and Bright’s assistance the lads are as prepared as they can be and I am sure that they will all want to progress into the next round as much as you the supporters do”
