Bedworth United U15 MJPL v Aylestone

Bedworths visit to Aylestone was definitely one to forget for the boys in green,  Ayleston who are perennial top 4 finishers in the MJPL showed why.  Being a feeder club for both Leicester City and Derby County the Aylestone team was packed with youngsters who are on the fringe of going to Academy football.  The Bedworth lads started the game quiet well keeping Aylestone at bay for the first 15 minutes but when the first goal went in the heads dropped and.  Aylestone added 3 more to their total before half time to go into the break 4-0 in front.  The Bedworth lads were deflated but went out for the second half and showed character to hold Aylestone until the hour mark when their rear guard action was breached by then the Bedworth lads were willing the game to end and conceded 2 more to make the final score 7-0.

At the end of the day the lads were beaten by a much better side with players either just being released by academies or pushing to get into them.  The Bedworth lads need to take from this no matter what the score is they must still compete 100% and not go into games with the mentality that they are beaten before a ball is kicked.
