Northern Premier League – Midlands | Tuesday 29 September 2026 | 7:45pm
The Oval, Bedworth
Bedworth United return to league action tonight as Grantham Town visit The Oval for a 7:45pm kick-off in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
The Greenbacks will be looking to put another three points on the board after a busy spell of fixtures, with home advantage providing an opportunity to build on what has already been a competitive start to the campaign.
Bedworth currently sit 10th in the division with 13 points from eight league games, having recorded four wins, one draw and three defeats. Their most recent league outing ended in a goalless draw away at AFC Rushden & Diamonds on 22 September.
The Oval has produced mixed results so far this season. Bedworth opened their home league campaign with a 2–0 victory over Coventry United, before suffering defeats against Boston Town and, most recently, Redditch United in the FA Trophy. The Greenbacks will therefore be hoping for a return to winning ways on home soil tonight.
Standing in their way are Grantham Town, who arrive in Warwickshire sitting 6th with 15 points from 10 matches. The Gingerbreads have won four, drawn three and lost three of their league fixtures so far, scoring 17 goals in the process.
Grantham head into tonight’s game having beaten Shepshed Dynamo 1–0 on Saturday, a result which followed a 5–0 defeat away to Nuneaton Town. Their recent results underline the competitive nature of the division, with both sides having plenty to play for as the early-season table begins to take shape.
For Bedworth, the challenge will be to match Grantham’s attacking threat while making the most of home advantage. With just two points separating the teams, tonight’s encounter has the ingredients of another closely fought Midlands Division contest.
The fixture was originally included in Bedworth’s 2026/27 league schedule as a home game for Tuesday 29 September, with the club confirming The Oval as the venue.
All roads lead to The Oval tonight.
