A challenging away test
Bedworth United face a competitive Basford side this evening, with both teams looking to make their mark in the early stages of the campaign. The Greenbacks will be aiming to carry the momentum from their recent performances into another demanding away fixture.
Basford come into the game after a goalless draw away at Long Eaton United on Saturday. Their home form has included a 2–1 victory over Belper Town, while they also secured a 1–0 win against Shepshed Dynamo earlier in the season.
For Bedworth, the task will be to stay organised, compete for every ball and make the most of the opportunities that come their way. Away games such as this can be decided by fine margins, and the Greenbacks will need to show the same determination and togetherness that have been important throughout the opening weeks.
Looking to build on recent meetings
There is positive history for Bedworth at Greenwich Avenue. The Greenbacks produced an excellent away performance at Basford in February, securing a 1–0 victory in the corresponding league fixture last season.
That result will provide encouragement, although tonight presents a fresh challenge against a Basford side under new management and determined to establish consistency.
