Bedworth United FC are delighted to announce the signing of Jamie Draper from local neighbours Coventry Sphinx.
The defender arrives after playing a key role in Coventry Sphinx’s rise to Step 4 over the past five seasons, making more than 175 appearances for the Coventry-based club.
After an injury-disrupted campaign last season, Draper is looking forward to staying fit and establishing himself in the Greenbacks’ defence ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Joint Manager Lents said:
“Drapes is someone we tried to bring in last season, but fair play to him, he stayed loyal to his team. I’m delighted we’ve managed to secure him this time around. He’s strong, quick and loves to defend. For someone who’s still only 23, he’s incredibly experienced, with over 170 appearances across Step 4 and Step 5 football. He’s a fantastic addition to the squad, and we’re excited to have him at the club.”
Everyone at Bedworth United FC would like to welcome Jamie to The Oval and wish him every success in green and white this season.
