RETAINED: Ben Blakely Commits to the Greenbacks for 2026–2027 Bedworth United FC are delighted to confirm that Ben Blakely has committed to the Greenbacks for the 2026–2027 campaign.
Ben played an important role in helping the club secure Step 4 survival last season. Having joined during last year’s pre‑season after leaving Coventry City, he adapted to men’s football exceptionally well. Whether operating at centre‑half or stepping in at right‑back, he consistently covered every blade of grass, showed outstanding versatility, and led by example in every performance.
Game by game, Ben grew in confidence and quality, adjusting to Step 4 football with minimal difficulty. Everyone at the club believes there is much more to come, with his ceiling still far from reached.
Ben quickly became a fans’ favourite, and we are excited to see him continue his development in Green and White this season.
Capping off an impressive campaign, Ben finished the 2025–2026 season as Young Player of the Year.
