Bedworth United FC are delighted to confirm our First new signing ahead of the 2026–2027 season — Midfielder Jack Downes.
Jack joins us from Coventry Sphinx, where he made over 250 appearances, captained the side, and lifted the UCL title. Before that, he spent four years in the Leicester City Academy, developing a reputation as a technically gifted, hard‑working midfielder with real leadership qualities.
Joint First‑Team Manager Jamie Lenton on Jack:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to add Jack to the squad. Players of his calibre don’t come around very often, so when the opportunity came up to sign him, we jumped at it.
Every time we’ve played against Jack he’s been a tough opponent and a real competitor. I’m looking forward to having him with us this season.”
Welcome to The Greenbacks, Jack!
